What We Do
The Collector of Revenue is the elected official responsible for collecting and disbursing current and delinquent property and personal taxes for the County. Collection distributions are made to the taxing entities which have certified tax levies.
The Collector also collects for the cities of Palmyra, Monroe City, and Hannibal and collects for the county merchant licenses. Residents of Marion County also have the option of making quarterly payments towards the upcoming tax year. Residents of Marion County also have the option of making monthly payments toward the upcoming tax year. For any questions, please call the office.
Marion County has two courthouses, one in the county seat in Palmyra and one in Hannibal serving approximately 29,000 people. Collections total approximately $30 million per year.

Fees will apply for Online Tax Payments: $3.75 per debit card payment or 2.5% of the total for credit card payments. Your payment will be processed the next business day and your Tax Receipt will be mailed to you. Your Payment Status will not be available to the Missouri DOR or License Office immediately.
