• Job description

  The Marion County Coordinator’s Office is seeking applications to fill the position of a full-time janitor/maintenance person for the Marion County Courthouse in Palmyra, Missouri. This position will be a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Duties will include but are not limited to: assisting in maintenance of courthouse, floor care, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, general cleaning, outside lawn care and snow removal as directed and other duties as needed. Applicants must also be able to use normal tools and have the ability to perform general maintenance and janitorial duties with public safety in mind. Competitive starting pay with great benefits.

  Summary

  In the role of Janitor/Maintenance, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will utilize your core skills in cleaning, custodial, and floor care to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met. Your experience in commercial cleaning will be vital, while your relevant skills in industrial cleaning and maintenance will enhance our operational efficiency.   Qualifications

  • Proven janitorial and custodial experience in commercial settings
  • Strong cleaning skills, including floor care and buffing techniques
  • Familiarity with facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning practices
  • Experience in painting, electrical and plumbing duties is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
